BitFenix Announces New Prodigy M Micro-ATX Case

Bitfenix has released a brand new version of its Prodigy case. This one is called the Prodigy M and Bitfenix is calling it the most compact case in the micro-ATX segment. The company says the Prodigy M is a result of high consumer demand for a micro-ATX version of its hugely successful micro-ITX compatible Prodigy chassis.

"The BitFenix Labs have been inundated with emails requesting a retooled version that accepts micro-ATX motherboards. Today, BitFenix is proud to officially release the Prodigy M - a case inspired by BitFenix fans around the world," the company said in a statement released on Wednesday.

BitFenix is highlighting the original Prodigy as the best solution for storage fiends and water cooling enthusiasts, and marketing the Prodigy M towards those that want to dual graphics systems or more than one expansion slot, though the latter is compatible with both micro-ATX and and mini-ITX.

The Prodigy M sportsfive PCI slots and supports CPU coolers up to 160mm in height as well as slim water cooling radiators up to 240mm in length and up to five 120mm fans. It's also got a removable storage rack that fits two 3.5-inch HDDS or three 2.5-inch SSDs, and space for an additional two 3.5-inch drives, as well as the included SSD rack on the side panel for two 2.5-inch SSDs.

It's got easy carry handles on the top and bottom and is available in black or white. It'll be available in October, but no word on pricing just yet. We imagine it'll be close to the pricing for the original Prodigy, which currently sells for between $80 and $100.

    ITX isn't "micro", it's "mini". It's "mini-ITX" and "micro-ATX".

C'mon Tom's, you can't figure out a way to block spammers?

Because this site really doesn't have enough spam already... I hope in includes a ban on second-hand spammers (people who quote spam)

what about people who quote people who quoted the people who quoted the spammers quoting them selves?

Unless Tom's blocked ALL new members and put them on probation, it is VERY hard to keep the spammers out. That or block entire blocks of IP addresses(something that would be easy to bypass).

It is not like this is the only forum to get hit with all this junk.

I can ensure you many mods try to stay on top of it and a system to auto flag spam is in place. It still needs a person to ensure it is spam and not just another poster linking a website to buy a product/download a program in an article or similar.

I'm sorry, I didn't intend to imply that blocking spammers is easy or that Tom's is the only place that gets infected.

However, places like Funnyjunk and 4chan have done a great job at eradicating them. Although 4chan still gets one or two spammers, on occasion. You never see spammers on Funnyjunk, though. Admin has done a great job with it.

Can this version accept fully modular 160mm length psu? The first prodigy only accepted 140mm length psu's if u wanted modular design. I could only find 1 650 watt silverstone psu that was fully modular and 140mm in length with at least 2x 8 pin pci-e power connectors. Sure you could fit 160mm psu's but then u had tons of unused cable throughout the whole case.
