iOS Horror Game Year Walk Making its Way to PC in 2014

Swedish indie developer Simogo has announced that its horror game Year Walk is making its way to PCs sometime in 2014.

Year Walk, based on the Swedish pagan practice of year walking, follows Daniel Svensson, who decides to go on a year walk in order to try and see a glimpse of the future.

Part of Year Walk's draw is its unique mobile controls. Traveling around the game requires swiping left and right to move across different screens. Simogo has stated that since many of the game's mechanics and puzzles are reliant on touch control, the Year Walk port will in part be a remake to accommodate a mouse and keyboard.

"With the cursor you'll be able to interact with the world (and it'll quite neatly show you what things you can interact with when hovering above them), but we've also added a very subtle 'look-around' feature," Simogo says. "You can move the camera slightly depending on where the mouse cursor is on the screen. Imagine a classic first-person PC game mixed with a point and click adventure, and you're somewhat close. It feels really good!"

Unfortunately, for now, the developer isn't being more specific than stating that the game's release date is sometime in the next year.

    not sure what is worse:

a PC game watered down for a phone

    or

a phone game ported to PC.... with not much more than well.... a silly phone "game",

IF it's a good game and works well with a PC, that is what is important.

I'm just happy to see a horror game that isn't a zombie game.
