In time could you ad a dB rating on things like HDDs? it is an important metric for many people when choosing parts for a system. A spinning idle, and a read/write measurement would be nice.

you can always reduce noise to zero. imo it's hardly a choosing factor.
reducing noise at the cost of performance is not an option, and some drives are noticeably louder than others, especially in smaller systems where you only have a silent CPU fan, and a silent PSU fan.

You can always use sound dampening material inside of the case to reduce noise and get quite/silent fans to push air through/out of your system.
where is the fastest? from above to below? AMD HD 5570 is better than Zotac GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores ?
