This is another power-hungry game, but nevertheless it was playable at 2560*1600 without filters. But World in Conflict saw a dark horse take the top score at 1920*1200: the Radeon HD 3870 X2! Once the filters were enabled, the AMD bi-GPU card, which is perfectly suited to this game, provided the best playing conditions, though the GTX 280 was close behind. On a 30" display, it kept its lead, and the GTX 280’s memory only made the difference at an unplayable setting, once again. And that’s not all, since at that same resolution, Nvidia took over the lead – but with the 9800 GX2 and not the GT200. So if all you play are World in Conflict and Crysis, the GTX 280 isn’t really what you need…
