EpicGear’s Thunderouz Headset Includes Multi-Color Lighting, Amplifier
EpicGear is out with yet another headset to add to its audio lineup. The Thunderouz delivers stereo sound, but it also includes a few extra features to make it stand out from the company’s other headsets.
Powered by 50mm drivers, the Thunderouz’s main attraction is the lighting. You can choose from five colors (red, green, blue, yellow and purple), or you can switch to a multi-color radiant pattern. You can control the lighting functions through a touch sensor located on the right earcup.
The in-line controller allows you to toggle the microphone on or off, adjust volume, and switch between music and game audio modes. The headset uses a 3.5mm connector for stereo sound. However, it also comes with a USB 2.0 connection, which powers the lighting and activates the so-called “EG-AMP,” an amplifier that should enhance the audio quality.
The Thunderouz is expected to release in the middle of March for $79.99.

i can see the use if you stream with a face cam, especially if you have it set to light up on certain cues, like if you take damage, or a very loud noise happens. can also see it if you wear it in public, but over all stupid. -

I was thinking the same, many streamers use webcams (myself included) so having a little flair keeps things interesting. In fact I use blue light-up Axent Cat Earphones, haha.For me, lighting on headphones is stupidity incarnate.
