iBuyPower has announced a brand new ultra thin laptop called the Battalion M1771. This mobile gaming machine packs a 17.3-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution, Nvidia's GeForce Graphics and Intel's Haswell Core i7 in a package that's less than an inch thick (0.85 inches or 21 mm). In fact, that's the same as MSI's recently announced GS70, which it claimed was the thinnest gaming laptop in the world.
"It used to be that the biggest notebooks carried the biggest power, but that's not the case anymore," remarked Darren Su, Vice President of iBUYPOWER. "Our new Battalion demonstrates that you don't have to sacrifice on mobility if you desire incredible gaming power. For those who want the best of both worlds, this is it."
The Battalion M1771 packs a Core i7 4700HQ with 8 GB of RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 765 GPU, a 1 TB 7200 RPM HDD, Killer E2200 LAN and N1203 dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI, mini DisplayPort, USB 3.0, SD Memory Card reader, a 2-megapixel webcam, and a back-lit keyboard. There's also an optional external DVD burner if you're into carrying around extras. Of course, if you have a little more to spend, you can opt for a 256 GB SSD and twice the RAM.
The Battalion M1771 starts at $1429. The SSD configuration mentioned above will set you back $1769.
