Razer Releases Imperator Mouse for Righties
Another Razer mouse! Gotta catch 'em all!
Razer is adding another new mouse to its lineup just before Thanksgiving. Razer this week introduced the Imperator, a right-handed ergonomic mouse for "palm and fingertip gamers," who make "aggressive mousing movements."
The Imperator sets itself apart with an adjustable position of the side buttons, allowing for the perfect position regardless of how a gamer holds his or her mouse. The device also features a 5600dpi Razer Precision 3.5G laser sensor.
"Ergonomics and control were the key objectives with this mouse" said Robert Krakoff, president, Razer. "Your grip stays locked and planted no matter how often you lift and swipe your mouse while playing. One of the typical complaints of gamers is the difficulty in reaching the side or thumb buttons on a mouse. We have pioneered adjustable side buttons that slide and lock into your ideal thumb position. You just can’t get a more custom tailored fit than the Razer Imperator."
The mouse, priced at $79.99 or €69.99, is available now direct from Razerzone and will be in stores late December.

jasonr49 I'd love to know how ppl actually use 5600dpi, my mouse is capable of 2000 but I set it at 800 and even at that dpi it moves so fast with just a slight flick of the wrist... can't imagine playing at 5600dpi. Looks like a nice mouse though.Reply -
Shadow703793 joshthorlooks like the g5+1. That's what I thought so too. Imo, the G5 was one of the best designed mouce(mice?) ever.Reply -
My work mouse is at 1800dpi. It's the death adder I bought just for work since it gives me the best movement in AutoCAD. I do notice that everyone else complains about how fast it is but the faster it moves, the quicker i can get things done.Reply
I'll have to check this mouse out more as I think customizable locations for my thumb buttons would help me out. -
sylvia648 Yeah, it does look like the MX500, MX510, MX518 and so on. Which in that case if it has a similar feel then it's amazing. Hmmm... a razer mouse I might get. I liked the Diamondback, but the side buttons were horrible and the edges of the copperhead were annoying as well. Using the Habu now, but it feels a little slow after using it for almost a year... must have faster.Reply -
