Computex 2007: Motherboard Mania
Aquatank
The Aquatank is an optional product for the Asus EAH2900XT graphics card, which is based on the ATI Radeon HD 2900XT. It's not difficult to imagine what Aquatank is: liquid cooling that Asus has added to its top-end ATI graphics card. The GPU waterblock is made of copper and is surrounded by a large and fancy heat sink structure (see the photo below). The square device is a control element, which will alert you if the liquid flow stops. We found the cooling module, which includes the radiator and fan, to be very interesting, because it is meant to be mounted in the back of your computer case - just where you would typically install a case fan. This way, the system not only cools down the liquid, but the fan will also transport hot air out of your system.
