E3 2006 Preview: The hot games list

Reservoir Dogs, Guitar Hero, and F.E.A.R

Reservoir Dogs (PC, PS2, Xbox)

We may remember 2006 as the year of the gangster for the game industry. In yet another crime film adaptation, Eidos Interactive brings Quentin Tarantino's independent classic Reservoir Dogs about a jewelry heist gone awry to gamers this fall.

Reservoir Dogs the game will attempt to fill in some of the questions of the film, such as where Mr. Pink stashed the diamonds and what happened to Mr. Blue. In fact, Mr. Blonde himself Michael Madsen will be on hand at E3 to help promote the game. Let's hope he didn't bring that straight-edge razor with him.

Guitar Hero II (PS2)

Johnny Napalm is going back on tour soon with Guitar Hero II, the sequel to the critically acclaimed Guitar Hero. Game developer RedOctane will show off Guitar Hero II at E3, which will offer players a new, top-secret track list along with additional modes that will allow players to use the original Guitar Hero SG Controller as a rhythm, lead or bass guitar.

hile RedOctane hasn't officially released a list of songs and bands for the new game, Guitar Hero II will reportedly feature material from KISS, Van Halen, Black Sabbath and Rush.

F.E.A.R. (Xbox 360)

The awarding winning blockbuster PC game will finally make it way to the console space later this year when Vivendi Games brings F.E.A.R. to Xbox 360. Scheduled to ship sometime this fall, the 360 version will feature brand new single player content as well as new multiplayer content created specifically for Xbox Live.

F.E.A.R. for 360 will be unveiled this week, while Vivendi will also preview the first expansion pack for the PC game, dubbed Extraction Point.
