Avexir Introduces its Core Gold Series Memory Modules

Avexir, a relatively new manufacturer, has announced a new series of memory modules, the Core Gold series. The Core Gold series memory might, as almost all memory does, seem like ordinary memory at first sight, but actually has a lot more to it than what at first meets the eye.

For starters, the most impressive feature is a zero-percent failure rate. According to Avexir, every single DIMM is tested in multiple computers for  reliability as well as performance, and anything that doesn't perform at least as well as the packaging indicates is discarded without further ado. To top off the JEDEC quality standard, Avexir even throws in a lifetime warranty.

Moving on, the DIMMs are also designed to look better in modern systems. Having observed that many of the motherboards for Haswell processors are colored gold, Avexir has opted for a gold colored radiator design. In addition, the units have built-in yellow LED for some extra flash.

Of course, let's not forget the specifications. The first set that will come out is a kit of 8 GB, made of two DIMMs of 4 GB each. The base clock speed is 2133 MHz with timings of 9-11-10-27. When running at 1333 MHz, they feature 9-9-9-24 timings. Voltages range from 1.5 V to 1.65 V. Lastly, the units also support the XMP 1.3 technology.

The units are already available through select retailers and carry an MSRP price of €89.98.

That would look pretty good in a golden case.

I've got this super awesome PC with green PCB, matching Green memory, and a metallic solid opaque side panel. Revolutionary CPU cooler with lightweight aluminium heat spreaders.

Basically a lame normal PC, but with marketing vocab.
