Seasonic Reveals New and Improved X-Series Power Supplies

The next generation Seasonic X-Series models are available in 650 W, 750 W, 850 W, 1050 W and 1250 W variations to ensure that users with light or heavy workloads are satisfied. The X-Series power supply units feature a fully modular DC connector with an integrated Voltage Regulator Module (VRM). This new design feature offers a DC to DC conversion with a lower current and higher efficiency, while maintaining full modularity. Seasonic claims this will not only improve reliability, but also performance.

Additionally, the new X-Series PSU's are equipped with a “Hybrid Silent Fan Control”, which allows the unit to adjust fan operation automatically based on ambient temperatures. This feature includes a Fanless Mode, a low speed Silent Mode and a high speed Cooling Mode.

Wouldn't most mid-range PSUs have the ability to adjust their fan speed?

Eh, whatever. If the marketing gains a few more customers, then I suppose it's worth it...

I love their PSU! I'm still sporting a Seasonic H650 after so many years and 2 PC overhauls.

Kudos to Seasonic! they build a solid product. Using a PC Power & Cooling 750w silencer ( Seasonic built) since 2008 going on over 4 years now. Re used it on my new build checked voltages prior installation and all rails passed. And in the future I'll be going with one of there units for a replacement or purchase.

I have a Seasonic X-750... BEST PSU EVER. Runs everything I throw at it and the ability to shut off the fan when not needed is wonderful for noise level. It does however make my GPU and case fans stick out like a sore thumb though.

I also procured a Seasonic X750 80 PLUS GOLD PSU. I have been running a 5970+5870 for going on 1 year with no issue.

I will only buy Seasonic from now on.

Seasonic makes some TOUGH PSU's. But remember some companies just get rebranded Seasonic for the lower end market.
