Star Wars: Jedi Knight Collection Hits Steam

Jedi Knight represents a time when LucasArts made 3D action games that hardcore PC gamers cared about. While it's regrettable that the Jedi Knight isn't keeping up with the times, you can now revisit the good Star Wars games of yesteryear with the release of the Jedi Knight Collection on Steam.

Now you can own all the Jedi Knight games for $19.99. If you're not into getting the whole thing for just under $20, you can purchase the games separately, though you're not getting nearly the same value. Star Wars: Dark Forces and Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II are $4.99 each, while the newer Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and Jedi Knight: JediAcademy are $9.99 each. The bargain priced one of the lot is Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith at $2.99.

Check them out on Steam here.

I play Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy on my Core i7 + GTX 275. Good games just don't go away. Also playing Total Annihilation (best RTS ever made) on Windows 7 32 bit. WIN!

On a more related note, im already starting to see newer players to the 2004 JKA. Good job Steam, thanks for boosting a deserving game.

Dark Forces 2 and and Mysteries of the Sith both have problems with new systems according to Ars Techinca.

Is this supposed to be a concession to PC gamers for not giving us The Force Unleashed? I already own all of your PC games, Lucas Arts. Why don't you reward your PC fans with a port of TFU?

    Thanks.

Dark Forces 2 and and Mysteries of the Sith were some of the best games Lucasarts ever made.

  • I would love to see the finished remake. For those of you who don't know, they are remaking Dark Forces 1 and 2 to the Jedi Academy engine. Google "Dark forces mod blog" on Google for more info :)

By the way, they are porting The Force Unleashed for PC.
    It's about time... I'm stoked.

I've got every old Star Wars game running on a dedicated P4 box, and no I won't be adding The Force Unleashed, I've got some bad ones on there, but none nearly that bad!

Every few years I feel the urge to play all the x-wing and tie fighter games, and the occassional run of KOTOR.
