Accusync LCD92VM: The Newcomer From NEC
When NEC updated its entry-level line a month ago, it included 19" models, and that's a good thing. NEC now offers a 19" LCD monitor with a 16ms panel that finally makes it possible for gamers to play on a larger screen. And in addition, the LCD92VM is affordable. We took a look at what could well be a good buy.

Design: Not In The Same Class
There's a world of difference between the XL795D and the NEC92VM. And yet the prices aren't all that far apart. NEC has launched the LCD92VM as an entry-level monitor, and it shows. The plastics are not as nicely finished, and the design not as careful as on the XL795D. But it's not devoid of attractiveness. The edges of the panel are fairly thin, which makes this monitor suitable (as does its lower price) for use in dual-screen setups.
Since low price is a goal, you can't blame the manufacturer for doing everything it could to keep its product affordable.
Ergonomics
And indeed, this monitor's features are kept to the strict minimum. The panel has a tilt adjustment, and that's all. The range of adjustment is small. There's no DVI connector and no USB hub, only a VGA input. NEC has used an internal transformer, and that's a plus. The OSD is easily accessible.
