According to industry sources, HTC is planning to release a new flagship, quad-core powered smartphone during the first quarter of 2013.
Despite the powerful Droid DNA launching a few weeks ago, the Taiwanese manufacturer is purportedly working with its suppliers for a new handset in the form the HTC M7.
Various sources have suggested HTC is ensuring that enough semiconductors and casings can be produced in order to manufacture between 4 million and 5 million units of the phone during the opening stages of 2013.
The HTC M7 is said to feature a 5-inch HD display, a Qualcomm APQ8064 quad-core processor and a 13 megapixel camera.
Samsung's rumored, all-but-confirmed Galaxy S4 is also reportedly set to boast similar technical specifications, with a launch scheduled for Q1, 2013.
