Nokia may still be riding the high of its Lumia 1020 announcement but the company isn't resting on its laurels. The Finnish smartphone manufacturer on Monday announced that it is to host an event at 9am on Tuesday morning in London.
The invitation offered no hints as to what we can expect from the event, but promised us it would be big. Given the late notice (and lack of build up), we imagine it's nothing close to as big as the Lumia 1020. That said, anything is something, and rumor has it we could see the Nokia Lumia 625. Engadget points to Finnish publication Puhelinvertailu, which yesterday posted leaked specs for the 625. According to the site, we can look forward to a 4.7-inch IPS WVGA (800 x 480) LCD with Gorilla Glass, a 1.2-GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 512MB RAM, a 5-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 4.0, support for LTE and a 2,000mAh battery. The device is, of course, a Windows Phone handset.
Other than that, we don't know much else. If Tuesday's event is the Lumia 625 (and only the 625), we'll be a tad disappointed. After all, Nokia promised "something BIG." We'll find out soon enough! Stay tuned!
