Acer Launches Aspire ZC-605 AIO PC
On Tuesday Acer introduced the Aspire ZC-605, a 19.5 inch Windows 8 AIO PC with an Intel Pentium 2127U dual-core processor and an ergonomic frame that tilts from 10 to 30 degrees. This new AIO is available via Amazon in the United States for a modest $599.99 USD.
At the time of this writing, the full system specs weren't provided, but in addition to the Pentium processor, this AIO desktop is also backed by integrated Intel HD graphics, 4 GB of DDR3 memory, a 1 TB hard drive, an integrated SuperMulti optical drive, and Dolby Home Theater v4 audio. For wireless connectivity, this AIO rig provides Wireless N and Bluetooth 4.0.
"The new Acer Aspire ZC-605 is an excellent choice for those wanting to try an all-in-one for the first time," said Frank Chang, director of desktop product management for Acer America. "Its sleek and compact size, low price and solid configuration make it ideal for those desiring a basic PC for researching recipes, online shopping and enjoying social media."
The new AIO PC also provides a 1MP webcam with 720p video that can be adjusted up to 30 degrees, a built-in single array microphone, and a number of inputs on the front panel including a 2-in-1 card reader, USB 3.0, an on-screen display button and the audio jacks. On the back are two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, audio output and HDMI output. The screen has a 1600 x 900 resolution.
"To enhance the clean design, save space and reduce clutter, the stand has hooks to keep cables neat and the desk tidy, while Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11a/b/g/n eliminate messy wires," states the company's press release. "There is also space underneath the chassis for keyboard storage and a convenient handle on the back of the chassis for carrying the compact PC from room to room."
As previously stated, this Acer Aspire ZC-605 AIO PC should be listed on Amazon for $599.99 USD, so keep checking back if you're looking for an affordable touch-based compact desktop.
