BitFenix Prodigy M Now Available In Multiple Colors; Windowed Side Panels Too

The BitFenix Prodigy has been on the market for quite a while already, and the BitFenix Prodigy M has been there for exactly one year. In order to celebrate this year of success, BitFenix has decided to build the Prodigy M in a handful of new colors and make a windowed side panel for it.

The new colors that BitFenix is presenting include red, orange, blue and green, or as BitFenix likes to call them, Fire Red, Atomic Orange, Cobalt Blue and Vivid Green. The windowed side panel will be available in all of those colors along with the original Midnight Black and Arctic White.

BitFenix built the Prodigy M simply because a lot of folks were making the point that the original Mini-ITX oriented Prodigy was actually big enough to house Micro-ATX motherboards. The Prodigy M can house up to two graphics cards through the five expansion slots, along with a single 5.25" optical drive. There is also room for up to four 3.5" drives, or five 2.5" drives depending on the configuration. To make it possible to carry all this hardware, BitFenix opted for a front-mounted power supply.

Due to the carrying handles and excellent hardware support, the Prodigy cases are ideal for LAN enclosures. They can house all the hardware you will need for a powerful gaming system, and you will easily be able to take it with you.

Availability is slated for August, so that could be anytime now, obviously. We've reached out to BitFenix for pricing information.

From the picture, it looks like the windowed side panel gets rid of the USB ports, Power Button, Headphone jack, etc. What's up with that?

Good catch. Not sure what's going on. I believe the side panels are swappable so it's possible that they're on the other side of the case but that doesn't seem like a great solution either.

The blue version has the side panel completely off, that's not the window. The green version is oriented with its front face right and its back facing left, so it's not the same side as the USB, headphone, etc. The panels will be the same more than likely.

I think I might have solved where is the power/reset, on the ones with the side panel window.
Actually when you buy one of these color Prodigy M, it does not come with a side panel window. The side panel window is a accessory for those who want it. So if you buy one, the panel with the button has to be installed on the other side.

I really hope that you can switch the panels.... my tower is on my right. Oh well, I'd probably deal if not, but does anyone know one way or the other? I think their prodigy line would be just fine if they put the darn usb and whatnot at the top like everyone else :\
