32-bit Synthetic Benchmarks
3D Mark Vantage shows the opposite performance pattern of what we saw in real games, with the three-way SLI equipped Vigor Gaming Colossus getting an edge over the CrossFireX flavored Blackbird 002 LC when graphics loads are increased.
3D Mark Vantage is also the only DirectX application we tested that can use all eight cores of the Vigor Gaming Colossus.
Synthetic benchmarks do the best job of limiting performance differences to a single component, and the eight-core Colossus shines.
The huge memory bandwidth difference seen in our 64-bit benchmarks is gone in the 32-bit version. Vigor Gaming’s FB-DIMMs still show slightly lower performance, but we’d expect that from ECC memory.
