3DMark Vantage suggests that, while the GeForce GTX 275 falls in between the 285 and the 260, its 240 shader cores lets it get decidedly closer to the 285. And although ATI’s Radeon HD 4870 X2 is the fastest card tested here (especially as scene complexity increases), there’s no doubt that Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 275 bests the just-launched Radeon HD 4890 in this synthetic. But we don't play synthetics, so let's move on to more real-world testing.
