This printer is so compact that it can be lugged around in a tote bag. Yet the Deskjet 450 has all the features of a larger printer. Like the more imposing models, it works using a color cartridge plus a black cartridge and there is an option called "photo". The output is small but sufficient 3 pages per minute in both black and color. The only disadvantage is the price.
PhotoSmart 7760

The Photosmart 7760 is one of the most exciting models of the year. The ergonomics are exemplary. For less than 200€ (or US$150), you have a stand alone photo printer with card reader, a color LCD screen, a few summary retouching options via the menus and a paper analysis sensor that automatically adjusts the print quality to the type of paper inserted. If you don't do a lot of printing (the cost per page is higher than for a Canon) and drivers put you off, this is an excellent choice.
Psc 1210
$100 (149€)
The Psc 1210 is recommendable not only for the quality of its output, but additionally and chiefly for its exceptionally small footprint, three times less than the Canon equivalent. If you're short of space, this is just what you need!
