CD-DA: The Classic Audio CD
Our audio CD image contains 20 tracks with a total playing time of 79 minutes, 4 seconds. The CD-DA is burned in DAO mode with CD-Text content.
The GCE-8480B edges ahead of the GCE-8400B here, too. A direct comparison with the CRW-F1UX shows the GCE-8400B to be a very fast 40x writer.

Summary Of The Write Performance Part I
There is no doubt that the GCE-8480B from LG Electronics is one of the fastest 48x writers of CD-R media. We were unable to tell whether the 16x write speed to RW media really offers any major speed benefit, as 16x media were not available when we carried out our measurements. Nor do we know of any manufacturer making them at the moment.
