Satechi said on Wednesday that this new lightweight-yet-sturdy enclosure has both a USB 3.0 and an eSATA interface which allow for fast data transfers. According to the specs, the enclosure's dimensions are 5.3 x 0.6 x 3.5-inches, and it weighs 6.8-oz prior to adding a physical drive. The enclosure is powered through a USB cable, so it doesn't require an external power plug.
Satechi also launched on Wednesday a plug and play Aluminum Multifunction Card Reader that supports SD, XD, MS, TF, M2 and CF formats.
