Antec Intros P100 Silent PC Enclosure
Antec releases a budget oriented silent PC enclosure, which still looks pretty sweet!
Antec has announced a new enclosure that is meant to offer a very high price-to-feature ratio. The Antec P100 enclosure looks a lot like Antec's high-end P280 case, and that is not by coincidence. The case features room for up to ATX size motherboards and graphics cards up to 317 mm in length. The case can also house up to two optical drives as well as seven 2.5" / 3.5" drives.
Antec has built the case for silence, which is a key characteristic of the Performance One series of enclosures. It has accomplished this by making high-density side panels without any openings, as well as a front door with foam padding inside, which can open up to 270 degrees. The case comes with two 120 mm fans preinstalled, but offers room for three more. Included as well are dust filters for the front intake and PSU intake ventilation holes.
Front I/O is handled by the fairly standard pair of USB 2.0 ports, pair of USB 3.0 ports as well as HD audio connectivity.
There was no word on what the enclosure would cost, but given the feature set, we can realistically expect a noteworthy lower price than the P280 enclosure, which already offers good value for the money.

randomstar This looks good to me also, I dont understand the current crop of cases out there. I am not into all the windows, lights, crazy angles and etc. give me a plain black solid box that I dont have to hear and I am good..Reply -
ceh4702 Antec Cases a built quite substantially. More like Tanks. I purchased a CM Elite 130 and the metal was flimsy I thought if touch the thing it will self destruct.Reply -
thundervore Antec cases are a let down. I stopped buying anythin from them after my Neo Power 650 Blue power suply died after only 1 year of use. I went through 3 of their cases and they all have high pitch noise in the headphone jack due to improper grounding and shielding. They kept including molex powered fans that can only be controlled manually that i have to repalce with PWM or 3 pin fans. Their fan controls are palced in the back of the case. Their window side pannels are laughable because the glass is mounted from the outside of the metal which causes dust to get trapped inbetween becoming a eyesore and the only way to clean it ws to disasemble the window from the panel.Reply -
hannibal I am happy owner of Antec p180 and Anctec signature series PSU. Works like wonder! Sadly my GPU is as load as it can be (old 1800HD series) but even that is somewhat mufled by the excelent case!Reply
