'Eve: Valkyrie' Alpha Opening To More Players On Monday

CCP has been alpha testing the online multiplayer mode of its Oculus Rift launch title, EVE: Valkyrie. On Monday, the company will release the game to a new group of early testers. If your PC is up for it, you’ll likely be invited.

The signup page for access to the multiplayer alpha of EVE: Valkyrie has been open since November, but to date, few people have gained access to the game. CCP has been very selective with invites to the early test of the game so far.

Tom’s Hardware had the chance to catch up with CCP at the Oculus booth during CES 2016. Adam Kahn, CCP’s Senior Director of Communications, informed us that on January 18, the company will be granting access to the alpha test to a much larger group of testers.

Kahn told us that if you signed up with a Rift DK2 serial number, and your computer meets or exceeds the necessary specifications to run the game, you should be granted access to the multiplayer test next week.

The alpha test signups have been open for months now, so there’s a decent chance you may have upgraded your hardware since filling out the application form. CCP posted on Facebook today that if you have upgraded since signing up, you can sign up again with your new system specifications.
