Does SanDisk offer free shipping?
SanDisk orders worth $50 or more come with free shipping as standard. Any orders that fall below this order total will incur shipping fees, calculated at checkout based on your order. Note that one of the perks of becoming a SanDisk member (which is completely free to do) is free shipping on all orders, no matter how much you spend.
Are SanDisk SSDs reliable?
Definitely! SanDisk is one of the most popular and reliable SSD and storage brands on the market, with decades of experience. We at Tom's Hardware love them for PC builds; for example, we gave the SanDisk WD Black SN8100 2TB SSD 4.5 stars for its insane speed, power efficiency, and overall performance. Honestly, the only negative was pricing, but you're getting top-tier gear, so the price point is understandable.

Does SanDisk have a student discount?
Yes! Students, apprentices and teachers can get 15% off products bought through the SanDisk website. All you need to do is verify your status via Youth Discount and you'll be sent an exclusive SanDisk promo code. You are however, limited to up to five products per code and one code per month.
When does SanDisk have Sales?
All year round! SanDisk has sales of up to 20% off often throughout the year. However, for the biggest discounts of up to 50%, the best time to shop would be Black Friday or Cyber Monday, when all the biggest tech offers are live.
Are SanDisk products covered by a warranty?
Yes, the majority of SanDisk's products come with a limited warranty of 1 - 5 years (depending on the product you've purchased) that protects you against defects or manufacturer faults. What is the SanDisk return policy?
Customers can send items back to SanDisk within 30 days of making their purchase to receive a full refund. Items will need to be sent back in the condition & packaging they were received in, with all included accessories & documentation in order to qualify. To start the process, just contact SanDisk's customer service team, and they'll send you a pre-paid label to cover shipping costs.
Do SanDisk microSDs work for switch?
Yes, SanDisk microSD cards work perfectly with the Nintendo Switch family, including the original Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch OLED. In fact, SanDisk do some of the best microSD cards for the Switch on the market!
Is SanDisk owned by Western Digital?
No. SanDisk separated from Western Digital in February 2025 and is now an independent public company. The flash storage brand WD_Black also went with SanDisk, which is why you'll still see the WD_Black name on SanDisk drives.
