Sony's Water-resistant Phone Exclusive to Bell in Canada
Sony's favorite splash-proof phone is coming to Canada.
Last week we went hands on with Sony's Xperia Z LTE smartphone ahead of its US release. Now, the phone is making its way north to Canada. Bell has announced that the phone will launch exclusively through Bell Mobility later this month. It's not immediately clear if this exclusivity is just for the launch, or if the phone will remain Bell-only for a longer period of time, but we'll keep you posted on that one.
The Xperia Z packs a 5-inch 1080 x 1920p full HD Reality Display with Sony's Mobile Bravia Engine 2, a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon, 2 GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera, a Battery Stamina mode that enables you to conserve power by shutting down background operations, and up to 16 GB of on board storage (expandable to 32 GB with microSD card).
Of course, we can't forget that the phone's most memorable feature is that it's water- and dust-resistant (IP55 and IP57), which means you can get the phone wet and it won't get damaged. In fact, you can even push someone into a swimming pool, and the phone will fare just fine. I took the hit for that one so you guys don't have to. Check it out below:
