Samsung Electronics is expected to volume produce 16" full high definition (FHD) panels for notebooks in the third quarter, but the battle in the FHD notebook panel market will heat in 2009 when AU Optronics (AUO) and LG.Philips LCD (LPL) also launch applications for the segment, according to industry sources.
