If you think the previous test doesn't really sort the sheep from the goats, this one will provide a winner's podium. HP comes top. Its colors are the truest (just a tiny bit of red is missing) and its drops the least visible, even with an enlargement of this size. Canon comes next, then Epson which has too much magenta and drops more visible than on the i860.

It's hard to get a true gray. None of them really manage it, though the definition they reach does let you print some black and white photos.
