Benchmark Results: Left 4 Dead
There’s not much to see here. All of our tested cards easily keep their noses up above 60 frames per second. On the other end of the spectrum, the Radeon HD 5870, 5850, 4870 X2, GeForce GTX 295, and SLI’d GTX 285s are all able to touch this platform’s 4 GHz CPU-limited ceiling.
Applying 8xAA and 16xAF affects performance a lot more (though the CrossFire’d and SLI’d setups still hit the 4 GHz CPU’s upper limits). Single Radeon HD 5850s beat GeForec GTX 285s, and a pair of the cards in CrossFire smokes the GeForce GTX 295 and paired-up GeForce GTX 285s.
