Lenovo's forthcoming ThinkPad Helix convertible laptop/tablet hybrid has been delayed from its original February 2013 launch.
A Facebook user asked the company: "It's February. Where is the Helix?" A Lenovo representative responded: "Unfortunately, we received word that it will be delayed till March or April. More details will be announced soon."
Unveiled during CES 2013, the Helix Hybrid ultrabook is powered by an Intel Core processor (up to Core i7) and sports a "Rip and Flip" design. It enables the device to function as a standard laptop, as well as allowing users to detach the display for use as a standalone tablet.
A capacitive touch screen with 10-point tracking and a digitizer pen is included, with the 11.6-inch display housing a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Other features include USB 3.0 support, an Ethernet port, mini-DisplayPort, mini HDMI output, up to 256 GB of solid-state drive, an NFC sensor, front-facing and rear 1080p cameras, as well as a battery life of 10 hours. Configurations will start at $1,499.
