Duke Nukem Gameplay Video Leaks

The big shocking news for last week was the closure of 3D Realms. Although it shouldn’t have been surprising given the dozen-year development of Duke Nukem Forever, it’s still upsetting for any PC gamer.

While Duke may find a home elsewhere, for now all we have are vicarious glimpses from screenshots and trailers. Today we get to see a little more of what playing Duke Nukem Forever would have been like, thanks to a demo reel by former 3D Realms artist Brian Brewer.

According to Shacknews, the footage was not meant for public consumption, as Brewer's website reads "As much as I would like to show everyone I can't. This is for game developers only."

The video shows gameplay footage filled with weapons in action with Duke fighting bosses. Check out the video over on Shacknews.

onecnoteWord. That game would of been legit. If they had ever intended to release it...

It was like a enthusiast trying to always have the best hardware and not ever getting to USE the hardware because he constantly was working on his computer.

But it did look pretty good..

You think after 12 years of dev time it would have been finished ^_^. Anyway the problem was they restarted development like 3 times, so yeah if they would have just finished one of the first two and just called it "Duke Nukem 3.5" or something, then they could have had some funds to develop DNF. Oh well, such is life.

Let's put our names down on a list, and send it to companies and ask them to complete the game for 3D-realms. :-)

Those fools, if they released the game ASAP it would end up like Final fantasy and the profits would make them go from bankrupt to Legendary. I get the feeling it will be released in 2010-2011 simply because it is probably almost already done and it has more hype than anything in existence.

If Crytek had half a brain they would buy it and give it Crysis Graphics or the option upon install to use 2 different engines based on the computers speed.
