Goodram Launches C Series Solid State Drives
Goodram's new range of C Series SSDs are consumer-grade drives that are "dedicated for demanding users who are looking for a combination of performance and value."
Polish manufacturer Goodram has launched its new line-up of C Series SSDs with the C100 which features 19 mm Toshiba MLC NAND, a SATA 6 Gb/s interface, and will be available in capacities of 120 GB, 240 GB and 480 GB.
The C100 offers sequential read and write speeds of up to 520 MB/s and 470 MB/s (480 GB version), either 256 MB (120 GB) or 512 MB (240 GB, 480 GB) of DDR3 DRAM cache memory, and support for AES 256-bit full disk encryption, garbage collection, TRIM and S.M.A.R.T. The SSD series is also rated for an MTBF of 1 million hours, an operating temperature of 0 to 70° C, and resistance to a shock of up to 500 G and 2 ms (half sine).
All Goodram C Series SSDs will be backed by a three year warranty and will offer a 2.5-inch, 7 mm form factor with a bundled 2.5 mm spacer for legacy devices. Further information on the drives will be available during this year's IFA fair taking place in Berlin from September 6 to September 11.
