Let's start with the program 'ssystem', which is a sweet simulation of our solar system, including all planets and many of the larger moons. It has a little benchmark built in that can be started with 'ssystem -bench'.
As you see the cards are almost performing identically, which suggests a clear CPU dependency of this benchmark. Only the good old TNT2 Ultra scores significantly less.
Looking across platforms shows that AMD's Athlon and especially the new Thunderbird-Athlon for SocketA perform particularly well in this benchmark.
