ATI Radeon HD 4770 In CrossFire: Unbeatable At $220

Benchmark Results: 3DMark Vantage

Talk about a precedent being set. Not only is a pair of Radeon HD 4770s faster than the Radeon HD 4870 1 GB and GeForce GTX 260 Core 216—our two yardsticks—but it also smokes the doors off of ATI’s Radeon HD 4890. No wonder ATI raised the price on its 4770 at the last minute. At $200 per pair, there would have been no reason to buy a $250 4890, if 3DMark Vantage is any indication of real-world performance.
