Report: OCZ Planning a 20 nm SSD Refresh

According to both NordicHardware and Fudzilla, OCZ is currently working on a refresh of its Vertex line of SSDs with 20 nm MLC NAND memory that will include a new Barefoot 3-Based controller that features optimized power saving and may involve some performance improvements.

Fudzilla has speculated that this revision would either be named Vertex 5 or Vertex 4.20 and indicated that it will be arriving on store shelves as early as next month.

Price per GB? That's what consumer SSDs should be focused on, since increased read/write speeds on top of already high speeds don't really help the average joe or gamer.

Using a new manufacturing process should mean more nand cells using less actual materials. So it SHOULD in theory mean it could be cheaper.
