Planetside 2 Beta Delayed: Just a Little Longer

Sony Online Entertainment's has ambitious plans for Planetside 2. The developer has promised that the MMOFPS's battles would be on an epic scale never seen before. Combine that with the fact that it's been nearly a decade since its predecessor's launch—nearly a decade of hype to live up to—Sony Online Entertainment is under a lot of pressure to deliver.

Last week, President of Sony Online Entertainment John Smedley promised that the Planetside 2 beta would be launching Monday or Tuesday of this week. Clearly, that's not something that's happened yet.

Apparently, something's come up to delay the anticipated closed beta for yet another week. Smedley tweeted the following in regards to the beta: "Beta likely going to start Friday or Monday.

"Had planned for today or tomorrow but we have some stuff we need to make sure is awesome.

"the team is working like crazy but we need to polish some stuff and test it before we let in a massive # of people."

Planetside fans, sit tight. Hopefully, nothing disastrous comes up for Sony Online Entertainment this week. Otherwise, the beta is practically within grasp… only a few torturous days away.

As usual, Tom's is late on that story. That delay was announced a few days ago and they officially said the beta would start in "a few days, probably Friday or Monday", which means.. today.

Better get in beta and play as much as possible at the launch, before the game turns into pay to win paradise for wallet warriors.

Thats the way online multiplayer games go nowdays, even the non free ones. (bf3)

kcorp2003or you can put in the man hours to get your stuff.Want to reload your weapons? For measly 1$ you get 10 magazines of ammo.

Also now available: uranium head ammo, 2$ extra but it also deals 25% more damage.

2 months after publishing the game we will bring dlc packs that divide the community.
