Intel Retiring Four 7-Series Chipsets; Mobile CPUs

The last retirement notice for Intel products arrived during February but now we've spotted another. That list consisted of a handful of Ivy Bridge processors; the current note tells us about the retirement of their accompanying chipsets.

The Z77, H77, Z75 and Q75 chipsets will no longer be available for purchase after January 23, 2015, although shipments will continue until as late as July 10, 2015, exactly one year from now. So, if you still have a good Ivy Bridge CPU lying around but need a motherboard for it, and you refuse to buy second-hand parts, you have about six months in which to buy one.

Intel also revealed that the Celeron 1020M, Celeron 1005M, Celeron 1000M, Celeron 1037U, Celeron 1017U, Celeron 1007U and Celeron 1019Y mobile CPUs will be retired along the same schedule.
