Following a report suggesting the M7 smartphone will ditch megapixels in favor of 'Ultrapixels,' HTC has promised "a new sound and camera experience in 2013."
The Taiwanese smartphone and tablet manufacturer released an infographic on "The Brief History of Photography." The final section reads: "HTC kicks off a new sound and camera experience in 2013."
HTC's soon-to-be-announced high-end, flagship M7 smartphone is said to integrate Ultrapixels, with the device's camera comprised of three 4.3-megapixel sensor layers. Every pixel would be shot three times in order to see the photos being combined and processed to deliver the best image possible.
The quad-core HTC M7 smartphone will be officially announced on February 20 during a New York event.
