Eminent Releases EM4172 myiSharing NAS

Eminent has released a new NAS, this one called the EM4172 myiSharing NAS. The idea is that all the documents and files on the NAS will be accessible from all over the globe; all that is needed is an ID and a password.

The EM4172 has room for two 3 TB hard drives and can be configured in a RAID-1 array. This way, if one of the two drives decides to discontinue serving you, you'll still have all the data on the other drive.

Through the use of the free iOS or Android app, users will also be able to access the data.

The NAS also works as a DLNA server, meaning that any player that supports UPnP/DLNA will be able to play media files off it. Most consoles and a number of TV's support this, as well as your PC.

So far there has been no word on pricing or availability.
