Fall Extreme Gamer System Shootout Part 6: Totally Awesome Computers Ridiculously Insane

Introduction

Several months ago THG began coverage of the best SLI systems in the world. At the time, we tested three systems with Nvidia's 6800

Ultra graphics engine. Of course, times change and we receive newer hardware to review.

Earlier this summer NVIDIA released its latest and greatest graphics product called the 7800

GTX . After doing our analysis of its latest card, we promised to review the product in a series of high-end systems and compare them against our reference platform.

Now as the summer comes to a close, we have been busy looking for the cream of the extreme. What is out there for the hardcore gamer? How about for the IT professional who only wishes to go home at the end of the day and just be able to play instead of monkeying around with his or her system?

In our test labs we have looked at the following systems based on this newest SLI monster:

One and at a time, we have reviewed each of these systems and posted a review every few days. This is the final individual review in the series, and we will have a wrap-up article to pit the systems against each other. The ultimate question to answer is "how does each stands against their high-performance peers?" Today, our last system on the list is the Totally Awesome Ridiculously Insane.
