Earlier this year, Netflix announced that it would be premiering the entire fourth season of Arrested Development in one lump sometime in 2013. Now it looks like Netflix subscribers in the United Kingdom and Ireland are getting a similar deal.
Netflix and Fox have announced that Netflix would be the exclusive UK and Ireland home to season four of Arrested Development. Set to premier in early 2013, the newest season of Arrested Development has been a long time coming. Now it seems die-hard fans will be forced to sign up for Netflix if they want to watch the show. That, or resort to other measures to ensure they get their fix.
"Arrested Development is one of the finest American comedies in TV history and we are incredibly excited to bring it back for British and Irish fans," said Ted Sarandos, Netflix Chief Content Officer. "As today's announcement with Twentieth Century Fox clearly shows, we're continuing to add all kinds of great content for our UK and Ireland to enjoy when and how they want it."
Netflix and Fox also announced that UK&IRL subscribers will soon be seeing a lot more Fox content. This includes Modern Family, The League, Lie to Me, Sons of Anarchy, and The Killing.
