    It's just a difference of backlight choice, not a real LED monitor. You tend to get better contrast with LED backlit monitors.

    First off, I think you mean LED backlighting vs CCFL backlighting (the older type). Both have LCDs. LED ones supposedly have more contrast but not necessarily as accurate colors.
