Last month, Turtle Beach announced a new lineup of gaming headsets a week before E3, including the Ear Force Stealth 420X, the company's third wireless headset for Xbox One. With its older siblings, the Elite 800X and the Stealth 500X, already available, the Stealth 420X is up next with a release date of July 18.
Unlike the Elite 800X and Stealth 500X, the Stealth 420X doesn't include a transmitter to be connected to the Xbox One via USB and an optical cable. Instead, it uses a single USB dongle with a 30-foot range.
It comes with four audio presets as well as a detachable microphone. Game and audio chat can be independently changed so you can easily mute annoying friends or teammates while still enjoying the game's audio on full volume.
There's also space on the headset for a 3.5 mm cable so you can use it for your laptop, phone or tablet. With all these features, the headset is still able to sport 15 hours of battery life and can be recharged with the included USB cable.
Of the three Xbox One wireless headsets, the 420X is the least expensive at $149.95. Of course, it doesn't have as many features as the Elite 800X such as noise cancellation, Bluetooth connectivity or a built-in microphone, but the players can always do without these extra gimmicks.
