The U10 can lay claim to the title of Fastest Camera in the selection. Digicams are often very slow. The U10 boots and records shots twice as fast as all the 5-megapixels.
The U10 has still not finished thumbing its nose at its 2- and 3-megapixel rivals. With a maximum score of 5/5, it is also the best of the five in the vignetting test. Brightness between edges and center changes no more than 6%, versus 20% for the Exilim and more than 10% for the 3-megapixels. It does not suffer any more from distortion (slight bulging in wide-angle) than the others.
Our verdict: an excellent Christmas present either to give or be given. You won't regret it!
