Pricing, Game Bundles And Availability
As the image above denotes, the HD 2900XT will be available as of today for under $400. This places it to directly compete with GeForce 8800GTS 640 MB graphics cards. When asked about availability today and three months from now, ATI stated that there would not be a foreseeable shortage any time soon. HD 2600 and 2400 are not slated to hit shelves until late June with the mobile parts following those launches.
Included with all HD 2900 graphics cards will be a bundle of Valve Software titles including Half-Life 2: Episode 2, Team Fortress 2 and a new title called Portal. Once again, there will be a voucher system for the games so you will need an Internet connection to connect to Steam, Valve's online distribution and update infrastructure.
