Looking for a large tablet that won't break the bank? Look no further than HP's Slate10 HD, packing Android 4.2 "Jelly Bean" and Marvell's dual-core PXA986 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. The company has knocked $100 off the price, making this $285 tablet quite an Amazon steal.
Launched back in December 2013, the device features a 10-inch capacitive multi-touch screen with a 1280 x 800 resolution (151 ppi). Also thrown into the mix is 1 GB of DDR3L memory and 16 GB of flash-based storage backed by a battery promising up to 9 hours on a single charge.
The discounted tablet also includes two cameras: a 5MP sensor mounted on the back and a 2MP camera mounted on the front. There's also dual-band Wireless N and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, a microSD card providing up to 32 GB of additional storage, and an audio jack enhanced by Beats Audio. Not too shabby for the price.
Want the 4G version? That will cost you $350, which still isn't bad considering the tablet was listed for $452. This model is similar to the previous Wi-Fi only tablet, but packs an AMD E Series APU clocked at 1.2 GHz. The battery also promises up to 10 hours on a single charge, which is probably a good thing given the tablet's 4G connectivity.
Another tablet that's on sale at Amazon is the Asus MeMO Pad FHD 10, an Android 4.2 "Jelly Bean" tablet that currently costs $243 USD, just over $86 off the original price. This tablet has a 10.1-inch multi-touch IPS screen with a 1920 x 1200 resolution (226 ppi), backed by an Intel Atom Z2560 dual-core "Clover Trail" processor clocked at 1.6 GHz and 2 GB of DDR2 RAM.
From the looks of things, Amazon is clearing off its virtual shelves by smacking these tablets with huge discounts. There's no indication of when these discounted prices will go away, so grab a tablet quickly before the sales disappear.
