3DMark agrees with our hypothesis, showing three GeForce GTX 660 Ti cards ahead of a pricier duo of GeForce GTX 680s in SLI.
On the other hand, this benchmark does not reflect the advantage of more memory bandwidth from the GeForce GTX 680's 256-bit bus, nor does it demonstrate the difference between 2 and 4 GB of memory on the higher-end model. What variance you see is caused by the GPU overclock Gigabyte applies to is boards.
