Benchmark Results: 3DMark And PCMark
We credit the new machine’s improved drivers for a slight boost in 3DMark, which comes in spite of a slightly lower CPU frequency and slightly worse memory timings in the new overclocked configuration.
PCMark hands the overall win to the previous system, again by a small amount. This time, those drivers don't give the Games sub-test enough of a boost to counteract the more conservative overclock.
The new build achieves a higher score in PCMark’s HDD tests, particularly in the Media Center test pattern.
