Hmm MSI normally offer FHD gaming laptop. This seems to be a downgrade from usual offering. At least this has normal mouse buttons, unlike most of the laptops from other vendors now.

Specs are a little disappointing to be honest. Unless these are under $1000, not worth.

Agree. This has to be way below $1000. Lenovo has way better IdeaPad that is sold at $800.

Anything less than 1920 x 1080p res on a so called gaming lap is unacceptable these days.

Judging from MSIs price points in the market, I would say these are around $700 to $800. The GPU is garbage. It has not need for 2GB with only one screen and its only DDR3 which is slower.

These seem like budget gaming laptops.
I had one of those from MSI a while back with a 4670 radeon and I liked it quite a lot.

MSI's GT60-2od and GT70-2od laptops are quite powerful and comes with a 12 volt cooling fan
