This synthetic 3D benchmark renders gorgeous and very extravagant graphics demos. The more graphics cards are present in a system, the higher the benchmark scores. The SLI configurations enjoy a pronounced advantage over a higher-clocked single card. For example, the water-cooled eVGA card takes the lead in Quake 4, but can only garner a spot in the middle of the field in 3DMark 2005 despite its higher clock speeds. Of course, the benchmark scores are not indicative of real-world gaming performance.
